Shows and Other News

Jean is happy to announce that her work is now being carried by Collyers Gallery in Mattapoisett, MA. After many years of painting Mattapoisett, she is delighted to have her work on view in her home town!

She is the featured artist at the Waverly Street Gallery October 7 - November 8, 2008. See a preview of her show.

Jean will have a show at the Marion Art Center, Marion, MA June 26 - July 22, 2009 and will conduct a three-day workshop in conjunction with the show.

"Last Light, Bombay Hook" is included in a new publication, Best of America: Pastel Artists & Artisans, Volume 1, published by Kennedy Publications.

Suburban Hospital in Bethesda has chosen Jean's work to decorate the waiting room in their new heart ward.

Jean is now working with A-R-T Fine Art Publishing in Alpharetta, Georgia to produce high quality giclee reproductions of selected paintings.

Classes/Teaching

Jean teaches a course in pastel during the fall and spring semesters at Montgomery College, Rockville Campus. For more information, contact her.

Awards

"Cloudy Day Landscape" won the Outstanding Landscape Award at the 4th National Exhibition of the Northeast Pastel Society at Old Forge, NY.

In September 2007, Jean was awarded signature membership in the Pastel Society of America. You will see "PSA" after her name on newer paintings.

"June Morning, Depot Street" and "Snowfields #1" were accepted for the Maryland Pastel Society's "Shades of Pastel" national juried exhibition. Both won Awards of Merit.
